$8,500 fine for 6,810 grams weed
Mark Shallow was all smiles while leaving the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, after Chief Magistrate Sonya Young imposed a financial penalty on him.{{more}}
The 36-year-old Labourer of Langley Park was ordered to pay $8,500 in three months, after pleading guilty to having in his possession, 6,810 grams of cannabis. Failure to pay the fine would result in him spending 15 months in prison. Shallow was also fined $2,500, to be paid in two days or eight months at Her Majesty Prisons, for cultivating 120 ingenious cannabis plants at Georgetown Mountain. He also pleaded guilty to this charge.
