Driver charged with reckless driving

Veron Medica ,of Georgetown, was charged on Monday, February 9, at the Serious Offences Court for causing the death of Lennox Lawrence by reckless driving at Colonarie.{{more}}

Senior Magistrate Sonya Young granted Medica bail in the sum of $20,000, with one surety. As part of his bail conditions, the accused has to surrender all his travel documents and report to the Georgetown Police Station Mondays and Fridays between 6 a.m and 6 p.m.

Lawerence died last Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by minibus HQ676, driven by the accused.

Medica has to return to court on April 20, 2009. (VM)
