Williams PI begins

Four witnesses have already given evidence in the Preliminary Inquiry in a shooting incident that occurred at Argyle on January 12, 2008.{{more}}

Among the four giving evidence at the Serious Offences Court on Friday, December 19th, were PC 693 Joel Williams, who was shot in the face on the night of the incident, and his emotional female companion.

It was reported that on the date in question, the couple was at Argyle pasture when a masked man came by their parked vehicle and shot Williams and took his companion a few yards away where she wrestled with him. She escaped and was able to seek help at a nearby supermarket.

Kentish Campbell stands accused in the matter.

The matter was adjourned to January 29, 2009, to facilitate other prosecution witnesses.(VM)
