Alick pleaded guilty to having one .38 special revolver without a license at Bamboo Range, Soufriere, on September 27, 2008. He also pleaded guilty to having nine rounds of .38 special ammunition, one firearm with the serial number unknown and 30 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition. Defendant Lewis maintained his innocence on all charges.

Members of the Rapid Response Unit were on mobile patrol in the area when a motor vehicle was seen coming from the Bamboo Range area. The vehicle was summoned to stop and a search was conducted. A black traveling bag was found in the back of the vehicle. It was opened in the presence of both men where Alick told police officers that he had them to protect himself. Lewis denied knowledge of the contents of the bag.

Sentencing is set for October 13. (KW)
