Garfield Myers, of Questelles, pleaded guilty at the Serious Offences Court on Monday to having 11 grams of cannabis in his possession on September 5, 2008, at Questelles.

“I been helping my uncle carry some sand and I saw the weed in a block and when I look back I see the police,” Garfield said.

Information stated that around 10:30am, the Drug Squad was on mobile patrol in the area when they spotted the defendant standing outside a shop next to the road. Police said they saw Myers drop a transparent plastic bag on the ground near to where he was standing. The bag containing the cannabis was retrieved and Myers was arrested.

On August 27 last year, Myers was fined $250 for possession of two rocks of cocaine.(KW)
