One night stay turns into a month at Dodds

The one night that Vincentian Ozmar Lorenzo Samson spent in prison was extended for a further month when he appeared in the Bridgetown Barbados Traffic Court Friday, August 8.{{more}}

Samson, 21, self-employed, who was staying at Oxnards Heights, St. James, Barbados, initially appeared on Thursday, August 7, and after being unable to find a suitable surety, was remanded until Friday, August 8.

He denied unlawfully asssaulting Dwayne Pile on Thursday, August 7.

However, when he returned, the court learnt that he was already on bail from the High Court in another charge.

Magistrate Christopher Birch, who told Samson that the Bail Act left him no choice, remanded him to HMP Dodds.

He returns to court on September 4.
