Iton charged with murder of toddler

A Georgetown man was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on Monday after he appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Sonya Young on a murder charge.{{more}}

Zannal Iton, a 23 year-old labourer, was arrested and charged with causing the death of his 18-month-old stepson, Jordan Commissiong, on August 1, 2008, at Villa.

Reports state that the toddler died as a result of internal injuries (a ruptured liver).

The matter was adjourned to October 30 for Preliminary Inquiry.
