Collis, 18 of Peniston pleaded guilty to possession of two rocks of cocaine and one bomb of cannabis.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young, who chuckled slightly as the youngster cried, fined Collis $100 for the cannabis and $150 for the cocaine. He was ordered to pay the fines within two days or spend one month behind bars.

The court heard that on July 27, 2008, members of the Narcotics Unit were on mobile patrol in Peniston when Collis was seen standing at a shop.

The police officers approached Collis and a search conducted on him revealed the controlled substances in his front right pants pocket. When cautioned by the officers, Collis responded: “Is my cousin give it to me”.
