Couple on $45k bail for gun, ammo and drugs charges
Terrence Matthews and his common law wife Clotilda Hooper are now both on $45,000 bail after appearing at the Serious Offences Court last Thursday on gun, ammunition and drugs charges.{{more}}
The Petit Bordel residents pleaded not guilty to having: One Bruni model nine-millimeter pistol, seven rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition, and 25 rounds of 12-gauge shotgun cartridge and 8888 grams(19 pounds) of cannabis.
Police reports indicate that members of the Rapid Response Unit and the Drug Squad executed a search warrant at the coupleâs home where the items were found.
Chief Magistrate Sonya Young ordered that they needed one surety to stand their bail and that both defendants report to the Chateuabelair Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between 7 am-12 noon. They also had to surrender their travel documents.
Counsel Bertram Stapleton represents both accused in the matter. The case was adjourned to October 14 for trial.
