The teen appeared at the Kingstown Magistrateâs Court on Monday and was not allowed to plead to the indictable charge laid against her.
Her bail conditions require that she report to the Central Police Station on weekdays between 6am and 6pm. A 7pm – 6am curfew was also imposed on her. She was ordered not to communicate with the virtual complainant.
It was alleged that on Monday, May 26, 2008, 16-year-old Dr JP Eustace Memorial School student Ashaki Foster was sitting on the wall opposite the Verbeke Centre, a little after 12 noon, when a white car drove up and a young woman got out. She approached Foster, they had an exchange of words, then the woman pushed Foster, then went back into the car which drove off.
The matter was transferred to the Family Court for Preliminary Inquiry on June 18. (KW)
