Pair of shoes sparks SVG’s 12th murder

St Vincent and the Grenadines has recorded its 12th homicide for the year. Dead is 30-year-old Jason Charles, of Redemption Sharpes, who met his death on May 11, 2008.{{more}}

Police reports state that around 6:30pm Charles was involved in an argument with another man over a pair of shoes, which ended in Charles being chopped several times about his body.

He was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries about 1:30am the following day.

Up to press time on Wednesday, no charges had been laid, but two men were assisting the police with their investigations. (KW)
