Michael Gibsonâs address for the next three years will read: Her Majestyâs Prison!{{more}}
Gibson, 42, a farmer of Orange Grove was arrested and charged with possession of two firearms with make and serial numbers unknown on July 1, last year.
Chief Magistrate Sonya Young found the defendant guilty on one of the charges. Gibson was jointly charged with Alfred Crosby, but he was found not guilty on both charges.
Information surfacing at the court stated that the Crosby built homemade guns and fired them off in the community from time to time. Acting on information received, a joint operation by members of the Rapid Response Unit and Drug Squad personnel took them to the defendantsâ house in Orange Grove to execute a search warrant. Gibson was met in the yard with one of the guns and the other was found in the house.
Under caution by the officers Gibson said it was some pieces of iron Crosby gave him to weld but Crosby said he did not know anything about that. (KW)
