Three freed of kidnapping charges

Three men can now breathe easily, since a kidnapping charge that has been hanging over their heads since mid November has finally been dropped.{{more}}

Khamal DeRoche, 24, businessman of Sion Hill, Derrick Ryan, 28, Mason, and Jahkim Poon, 25, contractor of Trinidad were arrested and jointly charged with kidnapping Kenneth Rogers Morgan of Lowmans Leeward on November 18, 2007, at Lowmans Leeward.

At a bail application hearing in the High Court for the three men in December, Morgan told the court that he did not wish to proceed any further with the matter against the men.

The Director of Public Prosecutions office, which was represented at the hearing, did not object to Morgan’s application and the matter was dismissed.(KW)
