Jamarie Quashie, 24, labourer of Walvaroo, and Calvert Buntyn, 29, of Richmond were both committed to stand trial on Tuesday at the Serious Offences Court, after Chief Magistrate Simone Churaman found that there was enough evidence for both men to be tried at the High Court.
The two were arrested and charged with robbing Shemley McCoy, 18, of Sandy Bay, and Daniya Clarke, a 16 year-old student of Green Hill on Monday July 9, 2007, about 2.30 a.m. at the Grammar School Playing field pavilion.
Police alleged that both men robbed the defendants of cellular phones and $13.
The men had no legal representation throughout the Preliminary Investigations. (KW)
