According to the postmortem, Baptiste died from a heart attack caused by blunt trauma to the chest and broken ribs.

Baptiste, who was also known as Brenton or ‘Brocco’ was pronounced dead at the Bequia hospital following an altercation with some men who were attending a party at a bar near to his home.

Baptiste is expected to be laid to rest tomorrow in his home village in Sandy Bay, while a date for the preliminary inquiry is to be decided on September 10. (SB)
