Guyanese caught with Vincentian passport

Gerald Whittington, a 34 year old Guyanese was sentenced to two and half yearâs imprisonment after he pleaded guilty on Wednesday at the Serious Offences Court for possession of a Vincentian passport,{{more}} which he knew to be false.
Whittington appeared before Chief Magistrate Simone Churaman on Wednesday where the charges were read to him.
Information given by the court stated Whittington went to the E.T Joshua hoping to get on a plane to Canada. While at the immigration area, officers examined his passport and noticed it looked irregular.
It was stated that the passport had a darker shade of green, it was thicker and had a fake Vincentian stamp in it. He was arrested and subsequently charged for the offence. (KW)
