Edwards charged with “Proper Dappa’s” murder

Police have made a breakthrough by nabbing a suspect in the murder of Jason “Proper Dappa” Burgin of Lowmans Leeward.{{more}}

Earl Cauldric “Herb” Edwards, 30, labourer also of Lowmans Leeward was hauled before the Serious Offences Court on Monday to answer the charge.

However, he was not required to enter a plea as the charge is an indictable one.

The matter was adjourned to June 25 when a Preliminary Inquiry into the matter will be held.

Several bullets were pumped into Burgin’s head around 3:10 a.m. on April 16, 2007 while he attending a function at the popular Philo’s night club in Questelles. The 34-year-old was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
