Accused double murder case adjourned to June 11
Double murder accused Erickson Harris has to wait until June 11 for the Preliminary Inquiry into his matter to get underway.
The case, which was slated to start on April 23, came to halt when the prosecution called for an adjournment in the matter.{{more}}
Station Sergeant Nigel Butcher told the court that they were carrying out further investigations into the matter and were trying to obtain information from a commercial bank with the help of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Butcher said that they would be serving an affidavit on the bank to help with their investigation.
Harris, a 27-year-old cop was arrested and charged on March 2, for the December 15, 2005 murders of Vonley Llewelyn and Jennine Gill. Their charred bodies were found in Gillâs burnt-out house. Harris is the only police officer to be ever charged with a murder.
