The court heard that on April 13, 2007, Coast Guard Officer, AB266 Gibson, was traveling to Kingstown from Barrouallie on an Omnibus when it stopped for Walker at Chauncey.

The defendant entered the bus and Gibson observed the smell of cannabis coming from a bag the defendant was carrying.

Walker got off the van at the Leeward bus Terminal and was walking towards the Kingstown Vegetable market when Officer Gibson identified himself and requested a search on him. He was then taken to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) where the illegal substance was found in his bag.
