Man attacked for offering oral sex
For attacking a man who made sexual advances to him, Roger Providence found himself before the court.
On February 3, Special Services Unit (SSU) arrested and charged Providence for having a cutlass in the public road while making threatening remarks to Allan Williams.{{more}}
For having the cutlass, the 32-year-old âPole Yardâ Arnos Vale resident was fined $350 forthwith at the Serious Offenses Court on Monday or in default spend six weeks in prison.
The court heard that police were on mobile patrol in the Arnos Vale area next to the Colours Entertainment Center when they saw Providence making threatening gestures to Allan Williams also of âPole Yardâ Arnos Vale.
In Providenceâs explanation to the court he said that he was at home when Williams came to purchase a Hairoun beer from him. He said he told Williams that he did not have any cold beers but Williams still insisted it be sold to him.
âAfter I dun give he de drink, he ask me to hold some money geh he until tomorrow.â He said he told Williams he wasnât sure if he was going to be home the next day so he gave him back the money.
âAfter that your honour, he ask me way all de girls day. So I tell him I donât know.â He then asked me, âWhen las you geh your gun clean?â Providence said he asked Williams what he meant by that and he said, âI will give you a $50 to suck your d**k.â This is when Providence told the court, âI got up and fired some plan at him your honour.â A two-year bond was also placed on Providence in the sum of $1000. In breach of the bond, he will be sent to prison for six months.
After the incident occurred, Williams reported the matter to the police and was charged with having one rock of cocaine in his possession. He also appeared on Monday at the Serious Offences Court and pled guilty to the charge. He was fined $75 to be paid by February 23 or stands the chance of going to prison for seven days. Williams explained to Magistrate Chuaraman that he has âthe Virusâ and he uses the cocaine to stay strong.
