Chief Magistrate Simone Churaman gave him until 12 pm to pay a fine of $70. Members of the Narcotics Squad, who were patrolling the Georgetown area on Sunday December 3, met the defendant walking along the public road.
Apparently noticing the police presence Davy started running.
His run was however short-lived when the police caught him and retrieved a bag that he had dropped.
In the bag was plant material resembling cannabis. He was cautioned and replied, âOfficer Give me ah chance naâ.
Davy told the court that the cannabis was for his own use and it was never his intention to supply it.
