Water leak disrupts Court proceedings

Spouts of water coming from a window in the ceiling of the House of Assembly where the Magistrate Court is now being held, caused Acting Senior Magistrate, Donald Browne to seek refuge elsewhere in the court room to avoid getting wet.{{more}}

On Tuesday August 15,2006 while court was in session, a heavy downpour of rain occurred and water started dripping through the skylight located in the roof. While sitting in his chair, the Magistrate realised that the water from above was wetting his documents.

Browne immediately adjourned all court proceedings until the rain ceased.

Luckily the rain stopped in a few minutes and court was able to get back into full swing for the rest of the day without further incident.
