Magistrate wants Heritage Square clean-up
On Friday evenings, Heritage Square seems to be a magnet for persons who want to carry out illegal activities.
Last Monday at the Magistrateâs Court in Kingstown, a total of eight persons were charged for possession of cannabis before Senior Magistrate, Carl Joseph.{{more}}
Joseph expressed total dissatisfaction at what goes on at the popular âhang-outâ spot on Friday evenings. He stressed that these activities are bringing disgrace to the country and that they need to stop immediately.
One of the persons charged was Mahinda Bute, a labourer of Diamond, charged for having a âbombâ of cannabis in his possession. He was fined $150 forthwith or one month imprisonment.
