Union Island man on 36 traffic charges
Abijah Wilson who now resides in Union Island where he works was asked to pay $3600 for traffic offenses he committed between 2004 and 2005.{{more}}
Wilson who pleaded guilty to 36 of the 37 charges read to him by Chief Magistrate Simone Churaman, pleaded not guilty to not having a valid insurance certificate, evidence of which Wilson presented to the court. The charge was later dismissed.
Wilson was charged $100 each on the 36 road traffic offenses and is expected to pay $400 each month starting June 30. Failure to do so will result in him spending nine months in prison.
