Vincy, Trini on drug charges

Vincentian national Alex Lawrence and Trinidadian Nigel Arneaud (25) were last week arrested and charged with drug possession.

Lawrence, who lived at Argyle, was charged with Arneaud for possessing 103 grammes of cocaine with intent to supply to another at Argyle on September 18. {{more}}

They were also charged with possessing 183 grammes of the illegal substance with intent to supply at Cemetery Hill on the said date.

Police also charged the two with possessing fifty two pounds (52 lbs) of marijuana to supply at Argyle on September 18.

Lawrence and Arneaud were taken before the Serious Offences Court last week Thursday. They pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Lawrence was granted bail of $20,000 with one surety. As part of his bail conditions, he was ordered to report to Central Police Station every Tuesday and Saturday between 6.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m. He was also ordered to surrender all travel documents.

Arneaud is on remand. He was remanded in custody for murder last week Wednesday.

Lawrence is being represented by the law firm of Williams, Williams and Williams.

The accused are scheduled to reappear before the Serious Offences Court on November 23.
