Rondeon has responsibility for irrigation, landscape lighting
Rondeon Nash says he can clearly remember when Nature Care SVG was started 20 years ago as one of his jobs was to water the plants after school.
Rondeon is the son of Gideon Nash, the owner and managing director Nature Care SVG.
Rondeon is a supervisor at the company and does irrigation and landscape lighting, having studied electrical engineering at the University of Technology (UTECH) in Jamaica.
“Ever since inception, I wasn’t working to get paid but was I working,” Rondeon joked while adding, “I remember when it started in the yard at home and there were plants in the yard and I had to wet them when I come home.”
He said it is a great accomplishment that a privately owned business has made it to 20 years.
“Basically, we have a mindset that once we put our hands to something, we should give it 110 per cent. We try to do that across the board in whatever we do, whatever we construct; irrigation…anything we put our hands to, we give our all,” said the UTECH graduate.
He noted that his favourite project was a Great House project on Mustique.
“You have to be positive. Every day would not be perfect and you might get discouraged by persons but you have to look for people who support you, even companies that support you.”
He said his father’s professionalism makes the company one to be reckoned with and there are persons, “who would bend over backwards” to help Nature Care.
“The onus is on you at the end of the day if you want to be successful and you must surround yourself with supportive persons,” Rondeon stated.
