Millennium Mart seems set to continue because one of its employees is five-year-old Lorenzo Richardson. That is not to accuse anyone of child labour. Lorenzo’s mother, Sindy Richardson, is anxious to involve him in the business. He is a kindergarten student at the Kingstown Preparatory School, and a live wire at the business house. {{more}}

He is enthusiastic about the operation and willing to assist the customers. He was excited to talk about his role, even though his innocence was obvious.

“I help Mummy pack up things,” Lorenzo said.

He is adjustable to technological gadgets – is into computers and handles the cash machine.

And his mother is not ashamed of his interaction. She wants him to experience the business, and perhaps at some stage, Lorenzo will be in charge.
