Their section Diwali – Festival of Light – outshone the others while Jolene Wynne depicting âCarib Heritageâ ensured Nelson Blocâs triumph in the Individual competition.
Nelson Bloc marked their 20th anniversary last year with another hat-trick of Band of the Year titles. Their 2004 presentation was âOur Caribbean Civilisationâ.
Other winners in the Section of the Year competition were Dragons Cultural Organisation with âFantasyâ from their portrayal Fanfare in second place, while âPearlâ from High Voltageâs âGlitta and Glamourâ placed third in the Sections parade.
Jenilee Glasgow, depicting âNeonâ from KFC SVG Players International âViva Las Vegasâ took second spot in the Individual competition, followed by Mastus Brewsterâs Fandango from Heineken Dragons Cultural Organisationâs âFanfareâ.
