A ‘GONG’ FOR TANYA

Tanya Samuel, whose mother, Joyce, is from Colonarie, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for ‘Services to the Community’.

Tanya, who lives in London, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Olive Haywood (Colonaire/New York), the niece of Mrs. Sheila Billingy (Colonarie), Maxwell & (Rick) Afari Haywood (New Grounds / New York) and the great niece of Mrs. Neita Paris (Colonaire / Curacao) and Mr. Egbert John (Colonaire).

Her Aunt Sheila Billingy says, “Tanya is a lovely girl and we are all very happy that she has been recognized for all the good work that she has done”.
