Two shot, one injured in Independence day shooting

In the wee hours of Independence Day, three persons were taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH), two of them nursing gunshot wounds.

SEARCHLIGHT understands that three people, two from Arnos Vale and one from Lowmans Windward, were walking in the vicinity of Thomas Wholesale around 12.30 am. Sunday, October 27 when a masked man approached and fired two shots.

One person was struck in the mouth while another was hit in the leg. The third person was injured while trying to run away from the scene. The gunman fled the scene on foot.

Police later arrived to conduct forensic investigations. Up to press time the trio were recovering at the MCMH.
