Remains of infants removed after Georgetown house fire

The remains of two infants have been removed from a house in Georgetown which was destroyed by fire on Wednesday.

The children were brother and sister, age one and three. SEARCHLIGHT understands that other relatives who were at home around midday when the fire started managed to escape unhurt.

An elderly relative was taken to the Georgetown Smart Hospital for observation due to hypertension .

Member of Parliament for North Windward, Montgomery Daniel was among persons at the emotional scene at Langley Park in Georgetown.

Daniel who is also the Deputy Prime Minister extended condolences to the families affected by this deadly fire.

Investigations and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
