Watchman is SVG’s 20th homicide victim for 2024

A 46 year old watchman of Hospital Road was found dead at his job site this morning, June 18, 2024. Gary Glasgow, who is assigned to the School for Children with Special Needs at Fernside, Kingstown, was discovered on the school’s premises.

A police source confirmed to SEARCHLIGHT that Glasgow’s throat was slashed, making him the 20th homicide in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for 2024.

His violent death follows on the heels of the shooting death of Zeno “Sarge” Lee last Sunday, June 15, 2024. At around 4.30 p.m. a gunman opened fire at The Waterfall Bar in Murray’s Village on the outskirts of the capital, where Lee was shot dead and two others were wounded.

Police are investigating both homicides and are asking persons with information that may assist in the investigations to come forward.
