Persons in St Vincent and the Grenadines are being urged to be on the look out for a man suspected of committing a high profile murder on the neighbouring island of Carriacou.
In a press release on Tuesday May 2, the Royal Grenada Police Force listed Dwayne Mc Donald as a wanted man.
Police in Grenada said they are seeking assistance in locating the 46-year-old man who is from Beausejour, Carriacou.
The suspect is six feet one inch in height, of a chubby build, with a round face and dark in complexion.
Mc Donald is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to a murder.
The alleged victim was shot multiple times and died at hospital in Grenada.
The Grenada police are also investigating the death of Randy Jones Mc Intosh, who was shot and killed on Tuesday May 2.
Jones was chairman of the NNP executive for Carriacou and Petit Martinique.
He was shot while in his vehicle around 4:40 pm on Tuesday.
Reports from Grenada say that Jones was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital, where he died.
In his Ridealonglive television programme on Wednesday, programme host Junior George said police in Carriacou are now on an active manhunt for Dwayne Mc Donald.
George said Mc Donald is suspected of allegedly assassinating Jones.
The program host said the manhunt could span “not only on the island of Carriacou, but there is reason to believe that this manhunt might extend as far as parts of St Vincent and the Grenadines.”
The police in Grenada also said the suspect is armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution.
He said the RGPF are extending and expanding their search, not only on the island of Carriacou, “but they are asking for people who are in neighbouring St Vincent and the Grenadines, Bequia, Union Island and other places who might see the bulletin to contact the Carriacou Police Station.
