Deputy Prime Minister Montgomery Daniel hospitalised

Deputy Prime Minister Montgomery Daniel is now warded at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted on Thursday, February 23.

Reports indicate that Daniel’s condition is stable, but no other information was immediately available.

Daniel, who is also the Member of Parliament for the constituency of North Windward was absent from the sitting of Parliament on Thursday.
Early in the sitting, Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves informed the House that Daniel was having problems with the muscles in his legs and that he was having therapy.
As a result of Daniel’s absence from Parliament, Gonsalves provided answers to questions that members of the Opposition had asked of Daniel, who is also Minister of Transport and Works.
Incidentally, Gonsalves also provided answers to questions that were asked of Senator Julian Francis who suffered a stroke last year and was also absent from Parliament on Thursday.
