Man who allegedly threatened his daughter’s classmate charged by police
A man who is alleged to have threatened a pupil of the St Mary’s Roman Catholic School earlier this year has been charged in connection with the incident.
According to a police source, the Director of Public Prosecutions has advised that charges be laid against the individual, who was escorted by his lawyer Jomo Thomas to the Criminal Investigation Department today, Monday October 10.
SEARCHLIGHT understands that on May 25, 2022, the man, who is the father of a grade five pupil at the school, entered the school compound to speak with the principal.
It is alleged that after doing so, the man went in search of an 11-year-old classmate of his daughter and made threatening statements to her.
It is also alleged that he took a photograph of the girl with his mobile phone.
He is expected to appear in court to answer the charges.
