Flash Flood Watch in effect for St Vincent and the Grenadines until noon on Thursday
A tropical wave with a broad area of moisture trailing behind of it is forecast to produce roughly 50-60mm of rainfall across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by Thursday afternoon according to model guidance, a release from the Argyle International Airport Meteorological Services said.
Soils are already saturated from the previous rainfall events, therefore a Flash-Flood watch is in in effect until 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 25, 2022.
The flash-flood watch could either be extended or upgraded to a warning if conditions warrant.
Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution.
A Flood-Watch is issued when conditions are favourable and there exists the possibility of flooding during the watch period
