Tropical Storm Warning for St. Vincent and Grenadines discontinued
The Tropical Storm Warning for St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been discontinued as of 11pm tonight.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services advise that âAt 11:00 pm, a full circulation was no longer identified for Tropical Storm âDonâ. For such, a tropical storm warning is no longer in effect for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The system has degenerated to a trough of low pressure.â.
âRadar imagery has shown a significant decrease in shower activity across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Occasional gusty winds, cloudy to overcast skies and light to moderate showers are still possible tonight into tomorrow.â
The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) is issuing an ALL CLEAR for St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Therefore, all commercial activities and the public service will resume as normal on Wednesday 19th July 2017.
The Argyle International Airport will resume operations at 7am on Wednesday 19th July 2017.
Six families sought shelter in three (3) emergency shelters on mainland St. Vincent and there have been no reports of damage at this time from the passage of Tropical Storm Don.
Residents and Motorists are still advised to be vigilant and a Small Craft Warning is in effect for above normal swells.
