Two slam tons in First Division cricket

Andre Hunte and Renrick Williams, both lashed centuries in the lone National Lotteries Authority First Division match, that saw on-field action on Sunday.

At the Buccament Bay Playing Field, Hunte slammed 10 fours and 11 sixes in his 127 and Renrick Williams stroked 6 fours and 7 sixes in his 100, to lead Edward Conliffe/Coreas Distribution Belfongo to 422 all out from 46. 3 overs against Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors.

Stein Joseph, with 41, and 45 extras, propped up Belfongo’s total.

Bowling for Unique Warriors, Roger Gibson snatched 5 for 61 and Reginald Jeffrey, 4 for 48.

In reply, Unique Warriors were dismissed for 165, with Joelano Neil, 36, and 29 extras, were the main contributors.

Travis Cumberbatch had 4 for 38 and Vernardo Primus, 3 for 18, bowling for Belfongo, who won by 257 runs.

The other two scheduled matches were decided via the default route.

Victors Two won by default from Radcliffe Too, in a match intended for the Arnos Vale Two playing field, while French Verandah SVG Community College got an easy win, as Strike Eagles failed to show for their encounter at the Stubbs Playing Field.

Matches this Sunday, pit Keegan’s Bequia XI versus Unique Warriors at Arnos Vale Two, Jules Anthony North Leeward plays St Vincent Distillers at Buccament and at Stubbs, North Windward entertains Belfongo.
