Danroy Hazell slams big ton for Belfongo

Danroy Hazell starred last Sunday, when he plundered 165 for Edward Conliffe Belfongo versus Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO at the Stubbs Playing Field, in the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the national cricket programme.

Hazell struck 14 fours and 14 sixes, to see Belfongo to 255 all out from 28.3 overs.

Nelson Shortte took 4 for 59, Roger Gibson, 3 for 53 and Kezron Ashton, 2 for 56, bowling for ASCO, who replied with 149 all out from 26 overs.

Ricky Hoyte scored 26 and there were 35 extras conceded, as Travis Cumberbatch picked off 3 for 44, Calvert Simon had 2 for 20 and Dean Browne, 2 for 28, as Belfongo won by 106 runs.

At Sion Hill, Glamorgan could only make 107 all out from 35.3 overs against Police One. Kenny Stapleton hit a top score of 29, while Nimron Laborde bagged 5 for 17 and Parnell Browne had 3 for 38.

Peter Morris struck 54, not out and Dion Bynoe, 37, not out. Police One responded with 110 for 1 in 12.2 overs, thus winning by nine wickets.

It was also a one-sided affair at Arnos Vale Two, when Combined Youths met Strike Eagles.

Marlon Farrell lashed 66, Vincent Cupid, 57, Oneil Endeavour, 49 and Jordan Samuel, 44, as Combined Youths piled on 341 from 48.5 overs.

Adrian Stapleton picked off 4 for 53 and Ronique Harry, 2 for 36.

Strike Eagles’ reply was lame, dismissed for 57 in 14.1 overs, as Kevin Samuel snared 7 for 32 and Nickie Antoine, 2 for 19. Combined Youths won by 284 runs.

At Park Hill, Radcliffe Too outdid E & J Robertson Construction North Windward Youths by six wickets.

North Windward Youths posted 147 all out in 36.5 overs. Shamic Roberts, who scored 30 and Sealroy Williams, 28, were the main scorers.

Bowling for Radcliffe Too, Handel Roban creamed 4 for 8 and there were two wickets each for Kensley Joseph, Shorn Browne and Reynalson Hillocks.

Radcliffe Too reached 131 for 4 on 13.1 overs, to win on a faster scoring rate. Calvert King hit 50 and Kensley Joseph, 37.

Sealron Williams was the pick of North Windward Youths’ bowlers, taking 4 for 41.

And, at Arnos Vale One, Smashers defeated Keagan’s Bequia XI by 67 runs.

Rawdon Bentick made 41 and Ozico Williams, 31, in Smashers’ total of 179 all out from 39.1 overs.

The top bowlers for Bequia XI were Jenry Ollivierre, 3 for 35 and Meshack Williams, 3 for 39.

Bequia XI’s response halted at 112 from 25.1 overs. Cosmus Hackshaw led with 39. Bequia XI were dismantled by Darren Russell, who bagged 8 for 48 and Javid Harry, 2 for 26.

Two matches are set for this Sunday, with Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors meeting Sunrise Bakery Glamorgan at Stubbs and Police One play Victors Two at Buccament Bay Playing Field.
