All Starz upstage Simple Boyz in TBPO Softball Cricket Competition
Bank of SVG All Starz dented the pride of Gairyâs Construction Simple Boyz, beating the defending champions of the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organizationâs Softball Cricket Competition.
All Starzâ five-wicket triumph topped the weekendâs activities last Sunday at the Dauphine Playing Field.
Simple Boyz made an under-par 100 all out in 18.2 overs, with Jabari Cunningham scoring 42.
Bowling for All Starz, Glenroy Dasent had 3 for 17, Kelly Murray 2 for 19, Desmond Bramble 2 for 24 and Dwayne Williams 2 for 25.
In reply, All Starz made 104 for 5 in 17.3 overs, as Nyron Da Souza led with 42.
Also on Sunday, New Level won over Full Click by 138 runs.
Rawdon Bentick struck 81 and Ronald Scott â 29, to see New Level to 182 all out in 16 overs, in a 17-over affair. Wesley Bonadie took 4 for 24, to be Full Clickâs most successful bowler.
But Full Clickâs batting crumbled under the bowling of Kurtbert Springer, who snared 4 for 17; Collin Lee, who took 3 for 7 and Winston Holder â 2 for 7. They were dismissed for 44 in 11.3 overs.
Sundayâs other match resulted in an easy win by the default route for CGM Gallagher Novice over Computec Older Boys.
Meanwhile, Saturday saw limited action, as the fixture between Sion Hill Tallawahs and Challengers was rained out, while the other match ended in a seven-wicket win for Gomea Bombers over Stingers.
Stingers batted first and made 76 all out in 10.3 overs. Bowling for Gomea Bombers, Alwayne Quashie had 2 for 8, Ovando Oâ Brian 2 for 16, Osborne Franklyn 2 for 20 and Raymond Sayers 2 for 28.
Keson Williams then lashed 59 not out, to steer Gomea Bombers to 82 for 3 in 10.3 overs.
Azmon Forbes picked up 2 for 14, bowling for Stingers.(RT)
