Providence Electronics Solution North Leeward trump First Division cricket title

Providence Electronics Solution North Leeward has copped the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the national cricket programme.

They did so by defusing Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors by seven wickets last Sunday at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Unique Warriors’ batting showed some spark, making 184 all out from 46 overs. Good contributions came from Joelano Neil, who made 47, William “Bill” Edwards, 40 and Leon Samuel, 30.

Bowling for North Leeward, Ronnique Laborde picked off 2 for 19, Benniton Stapleton had 2 for 21, Winston Samuel, 2 for 26 and Javon Samuel, 2 for 44.

North Leeward, on the back of Shammon Hooper’s 59 not out, Elron Lewis’ 54 and Ronnique Laborde’s 36 not out, replied with 187 for 3 from 25 .3 overs

Unique Warriors’ most successful bowler was Joseph Medford, who took 2 for 36.

The win by North Leeward assures them a place in the 2018 Premier Division, taking the place of Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO, who will be relegated to the First Division.
