The very impressive opening ceremony saw the 27 PE students well decked out in their class project polo t-shirts. A large gathering of students and teachers heard brief addresses from principal Wendell Edwards and Wolles Christohper, physical education and sports teacher. The CSEC PE SBA project requies students to plan, co-ordinate and conduct intramural activites. Each student is expected to perform one of nine roles outlined by the CSEC syllabus.

This year, Bethel High School students will compete in a seven-a-side football competition and or a badminton competition. Seven teams (including a staff team) and two female teams will vie for the champonship honours.

Twenty-five males and 14 females are registered for the badminton competition in the males and females singles division respectively, while seven male and four female teams will battle it out for the male and female doubles championships respectively.

Competition began in earnest on Monday, Feburary 6, 2012.

All matches are played during the lunch period and they end when the lunch period ends.
