Batting first, DeVeteran limped to 95 all out in 19.5 overs after recovering from 64 for 7. Desron Maloney, 18, Roger Gibson, 16, were the principal scorers.

Most Valuable Player of the final, Shawn Wickham did most of the damage, with 5 for 25 in his four overs. Warriors were off to a flying start reaching 45 for 2 in only 8 overs. However, strategy struck when their hard hitting batsman Maxwell Richardson was needlessly run out trying to stretch for an impossible second run and it was down hill from there. They finally collapsed from 72 for 4 in the 15th over to be all out for 79 in the 20th over. Monroe Douglas top scored with 29. Holford Browne, 3 for 11, and Kevin Harry, 3 for 13, provided the biggest headache for the Warriors batsmen.

DeVeterans collected $1000 and the championship trophy donated by Norrel Hull, while Keartons Warriors pocketed $600 and the second place trophy. The other divisional winners were Boxer Girls in the Female Division and Boxer Boys in the U-16 Division. Keep Still Girls and Warriors Youths were the runner up respectively.

The competition saw 26 teams participating in three divisions, using both the Keartons and the Barrouallie Playing Fields.(RT)
