We were all given a Christmas gift,
A gift that came from above;
Jesus Christ, God’s only son
A precious gift of love….{{more}}

He was born in a lowly manger,
With animals all around him;
A humble birth he was given,
Although he was born a king:

Every year at this time we celebrate,
But we forget the purpose of his birth.
So let us try to remember around this time;
That he came to give us peace on earth.

And while we eat and drink and have a merry time,
We must all pause for a while and reflect;
It was because of us he came in the first place,
And this we must never forget……
