IADC to host town hall meeting at Stubbs Gospel Hall


Residents of South Windward will get an opportunity next week to hear more about opportunities that are likely to come, with the operation of the Argyle international airport, during a town hall meeting to be hosted by the International Airport Development Company (IADC).{{more}}

The meeting is intended to sensitize constituents, where the airport is being built, about their responsibilities and possible employment and investment opportunities in the area, a release from the IADC said.

Specific areas to be looked at include: Employment and possible Investment Opportunities to be looked at by IADC’s chief executive offiver, Dr Rudy Matthias.

Environmental Protection to be presented by Roger Young of GEMS Progressive Organization; Tourism Development to be presented by President of the SVG Hotel and Tourism Association; and Physical Planning to be looked at by a representative of the Physical Planning Department.

Area Representative Frederick Stevenson will be on hand to welcome those in attendance and also to speak about what the airport being in his constituency really means to the people.

The town hall meeting is slated for next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Stubbs Gospel Hall Church.

It will be held under the theme “Embracing our international airport”. All are invited to attend and to participate in the discussion, the airpot company said.
