Kingstown Methodist Dramatists host play this weekend



They brought the house down last year with their smash theatrical production “Stone”, and come this Friday at the Peace Memorial Hall, the Kingstown Methodist Dramatists will be presenting their play, “Only time will tell.”{{more}}

The Methodist Dramatists, which is this year celebrating ten years in the performing arts, will this weekend stage its production at the Peace Memorial Hall, at 8:00 p.m. nightly, in the National Commercial Bank (NCB) Theatre Arts Festival.

“Only Time Will Tell” is a production based on family relationships, written 10 years ago by Robert Dickson, one of the original members, and directed by Kevin Rodriguez, another one of the original members and an actor in this year’s festival.

Over the last ten (10) years, the group has staged several outstanding and dynamic performances such as: 2003 “New Look”; 2004 “Eyes wide Shut”; 2005 “ Street Hawk” and 2006 “Stone”, which received several nominees and awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Set, Best Stage Management and Best Director.

There will also be performances by: The Sion Hill Mission Dancers, Chauncey Methodist Dancers, Vickilyn Job, Nicholas Batholomew, The Spot Light Crew, Rose Hall Drummers, St. Joseph’s Convent, Dancers among others.

The aim of the Methodist Dramatists is to “spread the message of love through creative arts.”
