MISS SVG 2014 – BIOGRAPHIES

Fellisia Baptiste

Fellisia Baptiste was born on March 28th, 1994, to Monica Baptiste and Lloyd Morgan. She pursued her secondary education at the Thomas Saunders Secondary School.{{more}}

Having completed her secondary education, she gained admission to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College: Division of Technical and Vocational Education, where she is currently a final year student pursuing an Applied Associate Degree in Business Studies with a concentration in Sales and Marketing.

She sees MISS SVG as an opportunity to form lifelong friendships, experience a new world of possibilities, and be an ambassador for her country.

Shackell Bobb

Twenty-one-year- old Shackell Bobb was born in Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines on March 25th, 1993, to Diane Bobb and Kendal Warren. She resides in Richland Park with her mother and siblings.

Shackell attended the St Vincent Girls’ High School. Upon successful completion, she pursued studies at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College: Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies.

No stranger to the stage, Shackell has participated in five pageants, namely, Miss Bequia 2010, Miss P’Tani 2011 – where she was crowned queen, Miss Rural SVG 2011, Miss Unity Youths 2012, and Miss Easterval 2013.

Shackell aims to help reduce the prevalent issue of domestic violence, specifically abuse against women, and aspires to pursue studies in Law.

shadeisha George

An avid reader, this 21-year-old believes that one is not necessarily born with courage, but rather, one is born with potential.

When Shadeisha is not at her home in Lowman’s Hill with her grandmother and siblings, you may find her taking part in Guiding activities, dancing or socialising with her friends.

This aspiring diplomat entered the gates of the St Vincent Girls’ High School in 2004. Shadeisha credits this institution with teaching her the importance of loyalty, the need to preserve and protect one’s dignity, and endurance in the face of adversity.

In 2009, she enrolled at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College: Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies. She graduated in 2011 and is now an employee at the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Shadeisha hopes to pursue studies in International Relations at the University of the West Indies.

Tatiana Lespierre

Tatiana was born on January 28th, 1992, the first born of her mother.

She was raised and resides on the Grenadine island of Bequia. As top performer of her school in the Common Entrance Examinations, Tatiana journeyed across to St Vincent to begin her secondary education at the St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown.

Tatiana subsequently travelled to Surrey in the United Kingdom to pursue post-secondary studies in Sociology at the Croydon College. Upon completion, she returned to Bequia and gained employment as a Guest Service representative at the Bequia Beach Hotel, where she is currently employed.

Selis Blair

From the lush green village of Richland Park hails 24-year-old, beautiful, free-spirited Selis Blair. Born on March 26th, 1990, to Vincentian parents Glenis and Selma Blair in the spice isle of Grenada, Selis migrated to St Vincent and the Grenadines at age 17.

Selis attended the Bishop’s College Carriacou Secondary School. Selis pursued post-secondary education here in St Vincent at the Caribbean Technical Academy, and was awarded a Diploma in Business Studies upon successful completion.

Selis aspires to pursue a career in Business Administration and Model Instruction. Determined to excel, Selis is ready to grab every valuable opportunity which would set the foundation for her to leave her mark in history.

Karla Gellizeau

Karla Gellizeau was born on September 1st, 1993, and resides at Edinboro with her family. As part of a large household, complete with seven siblings, Karla describes this experience as one which has helped her to grow into the resilient individual which she is today.

She attended the St Vincent Girls’ High School, and in 2010, she enrolled in the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.

Currently employed as a teacher aide at the Edinboro Early Childhood Centre, Karla considers herself to be a fun person, who enjoys reading, dancing and acting.

Gellizeau has a keen interest in children and their educational development, and aspires to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education.

Vanika Hope

Twenty-two year old Vanika Hope was born on March 14th, 1992. She is a resident of the town of Chateaubelair, where she lives with her Mom and younger sister.

She grew up in the community of Belair and attended the St Vincent Girls’ High School. Vanika is also a graduate of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College: Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies.

Vanika has always aspired to enter the MISS SVG pageant, and describes herself as a confident, hardworking, intelligent and independent individual.

Apart from being crowned MISS SVG 2014, Vanika aspires to become a counselling psychologist.

Jamilla Neverson

Twenty-three-year-old Jamilla Neverson was born on April 13th, 1990, to Gracie Neverson and Rimmond Fraser. She resides in the village of Vermont with her family.

Jamilla attended the Dr J. P. Eustace Secondary School. Subsequently, she attended the Professional Secretarial and Consultancy Services Incorporated, from which she graduated in 2010.

Currently employed at the Buccament Bay Resort as a Front Office agent, Jamilla has her heart set on pursuing studies in Business Management or Hospitality.
