• Q: I heard someone say that AIDS can be cured by having sex with a virgin. Are Vincentions really this dumb?

• A: This rumor is absolutely NOT TRUE and is dangerous. There is NO cure for HIV/AIDS and having sex with a virgin will spread the infection. This rumor originated in Africa and it is unfortunate that it is being spread here in St. Vincent. (In fact, I’ve heard it, too.) It is important to stop this very serious rumour from spreading.
