Former policeman charged with having sex with minor
A former police officer, who was last year jailed for attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl, was last Friday, April 4, slapped with three counts of having sex with a girl under the age of 13.{{more}}
Belair resident Eugene Noel was granted bail in the sum of $8,000 when he appeared at the Family Court yesterday.
He first appeared at the Serious Offences Court, but the matter was transferred to the Family Court for hearing.
Reports are that on January 13, February 3 and February 14 â Valentines Day, 2014, Noel is alleged to have had sex with the under-age girl.
In addition to his bail, he was ordered to have no contact with the girl and surrender his travel documents.
Noel was also ordered to report to the Central Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, until the case comes up for preliminary inquiry on July 24.
In the abduction case, Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias had sentenced Noel, 27, to nine months in jail after she found him guilty of the charge.
Noel had also been charged with impersonation of a police officer, but was found not guilty on that charge.
He was charged jointly with Ricardo âBig Eyeâ Miller of Sion Hill on both matters. Miller, a watchman, was sentenced to six months imprisonment on the charge of impersonation, but was found not guilty on the charge of attempted abduction.
