58 more charges laid against Aberbeen

As Stacia Aberbeen’s legal woes continue, on Thursday, September 22, she was slapped with 58 charges of theft and deception, in addition to 54 other charges she is already facing.{{more}}

The Green Hill resident appeared at the Serious Offences Court and was not required to enter a plea since the charges are indictable.

Aberdeen, 24, an employee of the Inland Revenue Department is accused of misappropriation of government funds, alleged to be in excess of $100,000.

After the 58 charges were read, Chief Magistrate Sonya Young increased Aberdeen’s bail to $46,000 from the $40,000 that was originally set by Senior Magistrate Donald Browne at the Kingstown Magistrates Court.
